From Glenn Baack (Koch co-worker and friend): I had the pleasure of working with Stan at Koch Exploration for about 20 years in Wichita, KS, Houston, TX and Denver, CO. He became more than a co-worker and became friends outside the office. Stan was always my go-to guy for petroleum engineering questions. One always got a full explanation for questions, often with the help of a white board for diagrams, to the point that I fondly referred to him as “The Professor”. I enjoyed the times we skied together in CO and had a hard time explaining how I was out-skied by a guy 15 older than me. I was always trying to catch up with him without wrecking myself. RIP stan – I’ll miss you.
