Glenda "Sue" Brown, 73, retired dietary manager, died Monday, June 12, 2023. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Friday, June 16, 2023; Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, June 17, 2023, both at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Hazel Lowry; daughter, Jennifer Marie; brothers, Jim (Delores) Cearley, Billy (Lynnell) Lowry, Coy (Janet) Lowry, Floyd (Linda) Lowry, Gerald "G.D." (Terri) Lowry, Jay Lowry Jr.; sisters, Norma Jean (Leo) Thielen, Shirley (Raymond) Cline. Survived by her husband, John Brown; daughter, Cherelle Brown both of Wichita, KS; fur babies, Charlie and Sammy; and many loving nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends. A memorial has been established with: Caring Hands Humane Society, 1400 SE 3rd St., Newton, KS 67114. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.

I have many great memories of cousin Sue, as we kept in contact thru Facebook. Sue you remind me of your mothers smile and aways a happy cousin you will be so missed by me and all your friends. RIP Sue I love you
The wonderful dinners she and her family shared with me, her kindness at the holidays always sent over gifts and homemade goodies. Her voice on the phone checking on me her neighbor. She will be truly missed.
