Gwendoline King, 98, retired sales associate, died Monday, January 29, 2024. Services will be held later. Gwendoline served in the British Navy in WWII at the age of 17. Preceded in death by her husband, Edwin Melrose King; parents, Frederick Victoria and Annie Hannah Thomas. Survived by her children, Roger King, Jennifer Campbell, Nicholas (Lori) King, Susan Kelley; grandchildren, Mike King, Kevin King, Phillip King, Jill (Eric) Ferrin, Zach (Amy) Campbell, Colin (Margie) Campbell, Damien King, Bryon King, Devon King, Chris King, Megan Weltzin, Fletcher Kelley, Ryan Kelley, Clancey Garcia, Miles Kelley; twenty-eight great-grandchildren; one great great grandchild. A memorial has been established with: Greater Wichita YMCA, Attn: Hillary Hoesch, 402 N. Market, Wichita, KS 67202. Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - West Chapel.
