Harvey Rosen, passed away December 8, 2014 in Houston, Texas. He was a beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle and good friend to many. Harvey was born on October 3, 1931 in Wichita, Kansas where he attended East High School and made many lifelong friends. Harvey was a born entrepreneur and worked in the oil and gas industry, and also started the famous Lazy R Restaurant in Wichita with his friend, George Stevens. He was known to always tell a good story and laughter was a huge part of his life. In 1973, his business led him to Houston, where he resided until his passing. Harvey was also known for his love of all animals, especially his most recent constant companions, Sissy and Mattie. Harvey was preceded in death by his parents, Zelig and Mathilda Rosen and sister, Geraldine Cohen. He is survived by daughter, Andrea Forbes and her husband, George; daughter, Elise Rosen; and son, Stuart Rosen and his wife Stephanie; grandsons, Brian and David Forbes; and former wife, Diane Schoendorf and husband Murray, all from Houston, Texas. Also survived by sister, Linda Spines and husband Tom of Wichita; brother, Steven Rosen and wife Pam of Houston; and many nieces and nephews who loved him dearly. Special thanks go to Ellis Heath of Houston, his very close friend of many years. Graveside services will be held in Wichita on Wednesday, December 10 at 3:30 P.M. at the Hebrew Cemetery, 1920 N.   1. It is obviously a little late to send condolences, but I am sorry for His passing. He was a great person and made a real impact on my life. I cared about Harvey and when I think about him today my heart is filled with joy. He was above all , a righteous man. R.I.P my friend.
