Heidi and I have been friends for nearly 30 years and rarely missed a week of being in touch by phone or letter. There is no one in my life I adored more–Heidi was the funniest, smartest, sharpest, most brilliantly creative human being. She was fully present for me at the peaks and in the valleys no matter what. I do not know what I did to deserve such a wonderful friend, but I am boundlessly grateful for Heidi’s bright station in my life and for the connection that we made from the very first moment we met. I loved her fiercely and will keep her close every moment for the rest of my life. To Heidi’s family, I am devastated by the loss of this fiery spark in your life and am thinking of you. I would love to be in touch with you–
Love and light–

I knew Heidi for but a brief period of my life. What a mark she made! We worked together at Garden Plain State Bank as tellers. She was quick as a whip with jokes and we shared quite the banter. I enjoyed her very much. We would karaoke into the microphones when the stalls were empty. I remember Heidi doing Blondies ‘Heart of Glass’. She made me laugh so much. I’m glad we shared each others orbits even if just for a while. My condolences to her family. You lost a good one.

To Rev Michael and family, so sorry to learn of the loss of an amazing member of your family. We only learned of Heidi’s passing an hour ago. And while we never had the opportunity to know her, all that we have learned in the last hour made us aware of how special a person she was. Michael please know you and your family are in our prayers.
