James E. Fisher, Jr.

Fisher, James E., Jr., 91, insurance branch manager, died Wednesday, April 10, 2013. Viewing will be from 11:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M., Saturday, April 13, and from 9:00 A.M. - 9:00 P.M., Sunday, April 14, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. James family will be present Sunday, April 14, from 2:00 P.M. - 4:00 P.M. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, April 15, 2013, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. James served in the Army-Air Corps from 1941-45. He was a 60 year member of The Wichita Bible Church. Passion describes his faith and his involvement with The Navigators Christian Ministry for 30 years. Preceded in death by parents, James Fisher, Sr. and Carmen Foster Fisher; grandson, James Aaron Fisher. Survived by wife, Vera Ruth (Huber) Fisher; son, James E. (Donna L.) Fisher, III of Tucson, AZ; daughter, Judith E. Howard of St. Joseph, MO; son, Ronald D. (Evelyn) Fisher of Wichita; grandchildren, Dana Werts, Deborah Sokolosky, Teresa Rives, R. D. Howard, Julie Hamlett, James Fisher, Jill Fisher; 13 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with The Navigators, 920 N. Tyler Rd., Suite 201, Wichita, KS 67212.
