Jennifer Lynn Bloom

August 28, 1979 ~ March 6, 2020
Jennifer Lynn Bloom, of Andover, KS born on August 28, 1979 and passed away March 6, 2020.
Jennifer Lynn Bloom entered this world at Wesley Medical Center as the second child of Alice Russell and Barry Theil Bloom. She was a cute little pixy baby who we loved for 40 and a half years.
Jennifer and her older sister, Kristen, played and giggled constantly as they prepared for her oldest brother, Tim, to arrive in June of 1981 and her youngest sister, Megan, who was born in 1983. The four older children were in constant motion entertaining themselves. Her youngest brother, Matthew, was born in 1995. She loved all her siblings but had a special relationship with Matthew. As time went on it became obvious that Jenny needed special attention. In the good times, she was the best kid, caring loving and thoughtful. But she was inconsolable at others.
Jenny attended St Thomas Aquinas elementary school, Coleman Jr. High, Kapaun and then graduated from Wichita Southeast High School in 1997.
Jennifer married Jay Ray September 25, 1999, and together they had two beautiful children, Dylan (17) and Shelby (15). Jennifer and Sean Cullinane and were married and blended their families on March 16, 2012.
Jenny could be the most giving and caring person, trying to assist others who she felt needed her help. She worked hard to make others happy. But as she got older, she was left with the consequences of some poor decisions. Her story of addiction and sobriety makes us sad and sometimes angry as it stole our daughter’s physical and mental health, from which she could not recover. We believe in forgiveness and the grace of God will allow her to dance and giggle in heaven, with her loving grandparents, until we meet again.
Jennifer was preceded in death by grandparents, Glenn Edgar and Thelma Mary (DuVal) Russell, and grandfather, Lewis Theil Bloom, all of Wichita. She is survived by her husband, Sean Cullinane; her children, Dylan and Shelby Ray; stepsons, Seanie and Tyler Cullinane all of Andover; parents, Barry and Alice (Russell) Bloom of Wichita; siblings, Kristen Dandurand (husband, Matthew) of Wheat Ridge, Colorado, Timothy Bloom (wife, Jen) of Andover, Kansas, Megan Bystrek (husband, Robert) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi and Matthew Bloom (wife, Emily) of Lawrence, Kansas; grandmother, Olive (Selfridge) Bloom of Wichita. Jennifer also had many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Jennifer’s Rosary will be at 5pm March 11, 2020 and her Funeral Mass at 10am March 12 both at St Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church, interment will be at Calvary Cemetery Wichita.
A memorial has been established with: Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at www.jdrf.org
Services in care of Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.

There just doesn’t seem to be the right words to express my deepest sympathies for your loss. I pray that God wraps you all in his loving arms during this time. Addiction knows no boundaries, Jenny was much more than this. She had a beautiful light inside of her, she now has the ability to let it fully shine with God by her side. We love you and you will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. 🙏😌❤️
