Jerome King, 73, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, died Thursday, December 19, 2024. Memorial Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 8, 2025, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Jerome is preceded in death by his parents, Lloyd and Alice King and brother, Patrick. He is survived by his wife, Cynthia Sue King; children Laura (Nathan) Schneider, David (Morgan) King; grandchildren Ethan, Caroline, and Madison. Jerome was born in 1951 in Wausau, Wisconsin. He attended Newman High School graduating in 1969. He then attended the University of Stevens Point to pursue his degree. He married the love of his life Cindy in 1979 followed by the birth of his two children, Laura and David. In 1995, his job relocated him and his family to Wichita, Kansas. After a dedicated 35 years of working for Case Corp, he retired to be able to enjoy his hobbies and spend time with his family. In 2007, he was diagnosed with Inclusion Body Myositis. He made it a mission to educate others on his condition by creating a Youtube channel to help fellow IBM friends work through their struggles with this progressive muscle weakness condition. He was an avid Packers fan and enjoyed cheering them on every Sunday. Jerome also loved woodworking, fishing, and metal detecting prior to him being confined to a wheelchair due to his IBM diagnosis. Services will be live streamed and available for selecting the "Watch Now" button.

His videos were so helpful and educational. What an incredible service he has provided for all battling this rare disease. Thank you, Jerry. You will be missed.
