Pat and I, Sandy your cousins loved Uncle Popeye. We followed him when he went to the spring, chopped wood and milked the cows. A fair amount of milk always found its way to us since he was a good shot. Turkey Trot was our special time to see him and get a hug. The name Popeye was tagged on him because of a noisy toy Uncle Harold had given him and it stuck.
Jim was a great brother in law to me and was a big part of our family. He will be greatly missed. Rest in peace jim
I loved Uncle Jim. He always made you laugh. I remember when my sister and I were young we rode his bus from wichita to denver. He will missed.
Uncle Popeye will be missed in many ways and places. I loved him and was always glad to see him. I’m sure Sandy and I were pest when we were visiting Grandma and Grandpa. He always kept his car spotless and washing them in the middle of Mill Creek was one of the places. Love you so much and reach out to Rob and Mike.
It has been a pleasure to know Jim. I always enjoyed talking to him when visiting my daughter Staci & son in law Mike Doshier. He always had a smile on his face. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Jimmy always made my job fun. He was a bright light every morning when I arrived and made started my day off on the right foot. When he found out that we had traveled to Harrison Arkansas because of family, he would come by my office and say, “let’s go to Arkansas”. My response was always, “LETS GO”. Jimmy, let’s go to Arkansas! I love you and will miss you dearly.
Thank you for letting us be a part of Jimmy’s life. He was so loved by everyone here and he will be greatly missed. We are so sorry for your loss.
I am so sad..I loved Uncle Jim so much! He was so fun and loving. I have so many good memories. I am so glad that he got to live a wonderful long life. He had a wonderful family around him. Say hi to my Dad in heaven Jim.
Kathie and I always enjoyed our visits with Uncle Popeye when we came to Yellville from California, mostly during Turkey Trot. He was always joking and had a smile and a warm hug for us. We also enjoyed our phone visits.
May each of the family know the peace and strength of God during these difficult days.
We are going to miss Uncle Popeye.
I always wondered how Popeye got that nickname. All of his nieces and nephews called him that. He always had a smile, a great sense of humor and nice to all of us.
I miss visiting with him.
Carol and I send our condolences to Rob, Mike and their families.
