Karen Anne Hollon

Karen (Meme) Anne Hollon, loving wife, selfless mother, nurturing grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted friend, was called home to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, December 1st, 2024. Karen was born in Griffin, Georgia, on October 10th, 1958, and graduated high school from Griffin High. Karen married her best friend Keith on May 6th, 1983. They celebrated their 41st wedding anniversary earlier this year. Life and Keith brought Karen to Wichita in 1988, by way of a Volkswagen Jetta and a small trailer in tow. Their first address was a KOA campground where they enjoyed Labor Day weekend in a tent that barely withstood the wind. Karen, being strong in her faith, became involved with the church, eventually becoming an ordained minister herself. Her journey to becoming a LCMFT began with Pastoral Counseling. Karen found her passion and purpose in helping others. In this pursuit, she has touched countless lives. Counseling was not just a career but one of her ministries. Another ministry for Karen was music. She played piano and sang for over three decades. Her beautiful voice has been called home to join the angels in Heaven. Preceded in death by her parents, William Jackson and Martha Ann Wall. Survived by her husband, Keith Everett Hollon; daughters, Stephanie (Chuck) Trimmell, Corrie (Jason) Roberts; son, Garrett Hollon; stepchildren, Tammy and Brandy; grandchildren, Ethan (Gissel), Gage (Olivia), Trystan (Abigail), Trenton, Sayge (Quentday), Peyton, Jameson, and Dylan; great-grandchildren, Roman and Flora; brother, David Wall.Viewing and visitation will be held on Thursday, December 5th, 2024, from 5:00 - 7:00 pm, at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary, 10515 West Maple Street, Wichita, Kansas. A celebration of life service will be held on Friday, December 6th, 2024, at 11:00 am, at Bethel Life Center, 3777 South Meridian Avenue, Wichita, KS 67217.

  1. My beautiful friend, colleague and prayer buddy, Karen, you will be truly missed! I thank God that we were able to cross paths and go on such a transformative journey together! Your warmth and genuineness will forever be carried in my heart.

  2. We loved doing prison ministry and Saturday night services at Believers Tabernacle with Karen and Keith. Her beautiful spirit and beautiful voice were so inspiring… I adored who she was and her love for the Lord. Our deepest condolences to the family .. we are praying for God’s comfort to uphold you and strengthen you … God bless you. Kathy and David Henry Wichita Ks

  3. You met me when I was so broken &going through a terrible mental breakdown. You helped guide me through and helped me regain my clarity. I am going to deeply miss seeing you every week and getting to have our amazing all over the place squirrel nest conversations. Ive had so much growth because I felt safe with you. I will deeply miss you, just know you were so deeply appreciated. I will keep you in a special place in my heart forever.

  4. I met Keith and Karen when I was working for American Family radio 25 years ago. I played their music on the air and booked them at concerts all over the Wichita area including Towne West Mall and Prairie Port in El Dorado. If I had an event, they were usually the first people I called to help me make it great. I attended many of their church
    services in different locations.
Her celebration of life was beautiful and surely a reflection of who Karen was in life. She blessed many.
