Anderson, Kathleen S. 74, passed away November 23rd, 2008 surrounded by her loving family. Kathleen was the daughter of the late Marcella and Bartholomew A. Seymour of Grosse Pointe, MI. Kathleen is survived by her husband, Thornton Anderson, two daughters, Kathleen Carnes and Nancy (Casey) Grow, a sister, Marcella Lilly, a brother, B.A. Seymour, Jr. and five step-children: Bill (Holly), Joe, Earl (Valentina) Amy and Mary Anderson. Kathleen also leaves eleven grandchildren; Brodie, Marnie and Henry Grow, Chance Carnes, Thomas (Jenny) Anderson, Jane (Jake) Lippincott, Lauren Anderson, Eddie, Danny, James and Paulina Anderson, and one great grandchild, Lakyn Lippincott. Kathleen will be sorely missed not only by her family but also by many people in Wichita from all walks of life to whom she was a friend and mentor. Kathleen was involved in many community activities and organizations such as Catholic Charities, Venture House, Life Line, Petroleum and Geologist Wives Clubs, Wit and Wisdom, the Lords Diner, Garden and Book Clubs of Wichita, W.C.C. Womens Golf Association, High Hopes Investment Club and the Junior League of Wichita. She also belonged to the Oil Painting Society and the Murdock Society of the Wichita Art Museum. While Kathleen appreciated fine art throughout her life, it was in 1996 that she discovered her personal gift of oil painting, winning many awards for her works. Still, it was her family that provided Kath her greatest joy in life. Visitation with the family will be held from 5 to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday December the 2nd with the Rosary to follow at Downing Lahey East, 6555 E. Central, Wichita, KS. Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Wednesday, December the 3rd at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1321 N. Stratford, Wichita, KS. Burial will follow at Wichita Park Cemetery. Memorials have been established with Catholic Charities, Inc. 532 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS, 67214, Venture House Episcopal Social Services, 1005 E. 2nd St., Wichita, KS, 67214 and Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202. Visitation with the family 5:00-7:00 pm Tuesday, December 2 at Downing and Lahey East Mortuary, followed by a rosary at 7:00 pm
