Lanman, Lena Eloise (Crawford), Born in Burns, Kansas October 5, 1912. Passed from earth to heaven, October 11, 2010. Lena was preceded in death by her parents, James L. and Myrtle Grace Crawford, her husband of 56 years, Ralph F. Lanman, and her brother, Corby, as well as her sisters Ruth Crawford, Mildred Hahn and Eula Jacobs. She leaves behind her California family: Doug and Ruth Ann Thompson, their children Chad (Sharon), Jason (Selenge) and Ryan (Jill) and their children Sierra, Hunter, Ethan, Jackson, Grace, Julia Kate and Anuu; and her Kansas family: David and Linda Schnedler, their children Jeremy and Stacie (Darby) and her children Brandon and Gracie, and a multitude of friends whom she treasured. She was a member of Calvary United Methodist Church most of her life, then attended Peace Lutheran Church, Andover, when she moved to Andover Court Assisted Living. Her life motto was: Its a wonderful world - Ive had a wonderful life. She loved living during the time when almost everything we now enjoy was invented and was fascinated by life in general. Her true joy, however, was her family and friends, whom she cherished. Services will be held at Calvary UM Church, 2525 N. Rock Rd., Wichita, on Saturday, October 16 at 10:00 a.m. Interment will be in the Burns Cemetery, Burns, Ks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Lenas honor to Calvary UM Church or Amedisys Hospice Services, 2733 W. Central Ave., #4, El Dorado, Ks 67042. Downing Lahey Mortuary East.
