Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
I knew Maike most of her life. When her and her family moved into our neighborhood, I instantly had a crush on her sister Leny. I was their paperboy for several years, and we all went to Sowers Elementary. Although Leny and sister Thea would never give me the time of day, little sister Maike was always outgoing and friendly. After she started being called ‘Dusty’ I would always throw in that ‘Hi Maike’ and she would always crack a smile, we’d joke, make small talk and go on our way. She was a person full of life and enjoyed living it to the fullest, she is to young to be taken, but Grandfather must have needed her home. My prayers are with her children, her sisters and her mom whom always treated me so well. May the Love from my heart embrace each one of you. With Respect….Patrick K. Kennedy

Maike was one of the most beautiful people we have ever met. We will miss her forever. Our thoughts and prayers go out to everyone who loved this very special woman.
I first met ‘Dusty’, as I knew her, some 18-20 years ago. She was a graceful and enthusiastic gymnast, and I enjoyed watching her work. The last time I saw her was in the 105 Building Snack Shop downtown, and she was her same outgoing, friendly person that I had rembered from years ago. She had a family by then and her happy, contentment was evidant. If she made that kind of impression on a casual acquantance, then I can only imagine how much she will be missed by those close to her. My thoughts and prayers go out to her sons and family. Maike/Dusty left this life way too soon, no matter how brightly she burned her candle. She is missed by more people than one may realize. …… Mickey
