Celebrating the life of Marilyn Joetta Ridder who passed away June 9, 2026, a remarkable woman known for her kindness, caring nature, and protective spirit. Born on November 12, 1944, in Wichita, KS, Marilyn spent her life devoted to those she loved.
Marilyn tied the knot with her beloved husband Harold on October 4, 1975, at All Saints Catholic Church. Together, they shared a loving marriage of 45 years. A devoted homemaker, Marilyn found profound joy in taking care of her family, tending to her garden, and chatting with lifelong friends. These simple pleasures brought great fulfillment to her life, making her home a sanctuary of warmth and love.
Her compassion extended beyond her immediate family to the broader community through her involvement with the Kansas Food Bank and involvement with the Altar Society at Church of the Magdalen.
Marilyn was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Elsie Struble; her husband, Harold Ridder; son Shaun Ridder; and brother Gary (Janice) Struble. She leaves behind her son, Jason (Emily) Ridder; grandson, Graham; brother, Al (Dolores) Struble; and sister, Marsha Windorski; and many nieces and nephews.
For those looking to honor Marilyn’s memory, the family suggests making a memorial contribution to the Kansas Food Bank, an organization close to her heart.
Funeral services will be held on June 22, 2026 at Church of the Magdalen Catholic Church. A rosary will begin at 9:30 am, followed by the funeral mass at 10:00 am. Interment will immediately follow at White Chapel Memorial Gardens.

Jason I was so sorry to hear of your mother’s passing. We have known each other since you were little boys and played with my sons. Marilyn and I often sat together at mass on Saturday nights. She was such a sweet and caring person. I will miss her.
