Marilyn Maxine Knudsen

Knudsen, Marilyn Maxine (Purcell), 82, (June 5, 1930 - July 19, 2012), died peacefully, surrounded by her family, after a long illness. Visitation with the family, 6-8 p.m., Sunday, July 22, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Service, 11 a.m., Monday, July 23, First Mennonite Brethren Church. Graveside Service, 10 a.m., Tuesday, July 24, Laurel Cemetery, Laurel, Nebr. Marilyn was born to Ralph and Geneva Purcell in Laurel, Nebr., who preceded her in death, along with three brothers: Gene, Duane and Dale, and one sister, Gladys. She is survived by one brother, Everett, of Orange County, Calif., one sister, Betty Nielsen, of Minneapolis, Minn., and four sons: Kerry (Lee Ann) of Caledon, Ont., Canada; Scott (Kay), of Ft. Collins, Colo.; Joel (Lori), of Wichita, Kan.; and David (Ellen), of Calgary, Alta., Canada. Marilyn also has 10 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
