Mary Ann Farmer, born on September 25, 1925 in El Dorado, Kansas, and died on December 27, 2015 on the Feast of the Holy Family. She is preceded in death by her parents, Otto and Henrietta Huttenhoff; husband, Joseph Farmer; and sons, Michael and William Farmer. She is survived by her sister, Phyllis Menard; her brother, James Huttenhoff; children, Joseph Farmer Jr. (Jayne), James Farmer (Sharrell), Mary Corbett (Kevin), Ann Rider (Calvin); daughter-in-law, Jean Farmer; eighteen grandchildren, Patrick, Denis, Brian, Stephanie, Sister Mary Ruth O Carm, Christopher, Sarah, Peter, Timothy, Autumn, Robin, Brian, Jessica, Kyle, Camille, Amy, Jenny, and Scott; and thirty-two great-grandchildren. Mary Ann had deep faith, was devoted to the Blessed Virgin Mary and St. Therese of Lisieux. She was a professed tertiary of the Carmelite Order, and devoted her years to prayer, service to the church and her community, and to the love of her family. A rosary will be held at 5:00 P.M., Friday, January 1, 2016, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. The funeral will be at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, January 2, 2016, at St. Thomas Aquinas Catholic Church.
