Nixon, William A., M.D., 92, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2008. Dr. Nixon was a member of the Medical Society of Sedgwick County and served as a Captain in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by wife Eunice Schweiter Nixon; daughters: Sally (Gary) Winfrey of Wichita, Marti (Larry) Levy of Prairie Village, KS; sons: Kip (Sally) Nixon of Wichita, Bill Nixon of Okinawa, Japan; sisters: Louisa Passman of Wichita, Tima McIlvain of Plano, TX; four grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation with the family will be 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Downing and Lahey East Mortuary and graveside service is 10:00 A.M. Monday, December 1, 2008 at Wichita Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a Memorial has been established with Epworth United Methodist Church, 856 S. Green, Wichita, KS 67211.
Visitation with the family will be 2:00 to 4:00 P.M. Sunday at Downing and Lahey East Mortuary

Mrs. Nixon: You won’t remember me, but I have been a pharmaceutical representative for 29 years and called on your office when you were located at Central and Hillside when I first got into the business. It was always such a joy to talk to you and your husband. I remember getting to hear about your children and grandchildren and Dr. Nixon always taking time to visit with me about the medicines I was carrying at the time. You two were such a special couple and it was a joy to enter your office.
