I have known this family and nick since the boys were little because I would baby sit them. And contrary to what Nick said I really wasn’t that bad! We didn’t get to talk awhole lot but when we did it was like we talked all the time. I can’t imagine him not being around and my heart goes out to Alisa, Randy, Travis, Jerry, Lila, Paula and Vern and the rest of the family. Nick will be missed. Dana Decker
I have known Nick for a long time. I met him through mutual Friends back in the day from Goddard. He was always full of life. He always made us laugh. He had a way with words. He will deeply be missed. My heart breaks for his Family. So sorry for your loss. My prayers and thoughts are with his Family.
Many memories of Phillips’s and Voge ski trips. Travis and Knick were the same ages as are two oldest girls. Spent a lot of time on Keystone Mountain starting when kids were in the 5-7 age range. All of them were very aggressive skiers and Knick led the pack in that regard. His first trip down the Last Hoot quickly came to mind. It is a black run with an extremely steep final run to the base house . It served as entertainment for those watching as if you fell you would slide a hundred yards or more.Don’t recall his age but Knick wanted to take it on. When we got to the final run Knick started having second thoughts. He told his dad he was nervous and had wet his pants. After reviewing options he decided to go and made it down and got his pin for the slop. I always broke out in a heavy sweat regardless of temp so I knew where he was comes home from. That was Knick always up for an outdoor challenge. The news about his accident was way beyond very tough news. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
Randy & Alisa, your grief is too much to bear alone. Wish we would have spent more time with the cousins. You are in our prayers and thoughts. Hugs when you are ready.
Lis and Randy— I’m so very VERY sorry to hear of Nicks accident. This is such a shock — I can’t imagine the grief and loss you feel. Please know my thoughts and my prayers are with you all in this very trying time. My heart hurts for you. Love to you all — Jan Dent
Praying for the family!! I have so many good memories with Nick, I can’t even pick one. We always ate the best food together, and watched lots of movies. He had such great taste in home decor. I’m thankful for the friendship and time we got to spend together as we got older. He had a heart of gold and could make me laugh all the time!
