Phyllis Hickerson

Phyllis Hickerson, 93, passed away Sunday, September 17, 2023 at Larksfield Home Health Center.Phyllis was born in Britton, South Dakota to W.E. and Mayda Franck, who precede her in death. She is also preceded in death by her husband, James Brown Hickerson; and her brother, George Franck. She is survived by her son, Jay (Justine) Hickerson of Wichita; daughter, Mary Kaye (John) Powers of Windsor, CO; four grandsons, five great-grandchildren.After retirement from Hickerson Furniture, Phyllis enjoyed her family and friendships with her Jackie Sorenson Dance Aerobics group, The Assistance League of Wichita, as well as her East High School 1948 reunion pals.Family honored Phyllis at a private funeral mass.If desired, memorials may be made to St. Mary Catholic School, 2306 Meadowlark Blvd., Derby, KS 67203, Attn: Jeana.Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.

Jay & Justine, We were so sorry to hear of your Mother’s passing. She was our youngest daughter’s Godmother. We tried to say hello and keep in touch with them after the Saturday evening Mass .
