Quynh Phan, 89, Homemaker, died Saturday, December 9, 2023. Visitations will be from 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm, Monday, December 11, 2023; 10:00 am - 7:00 pm, Tuesday, December 12 and Wednesday, December 13, all at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Graveside Service will be at 10:00 am, Thursday, December 14, 2023, at Calvary Cemetery. Preceded in death by her parents, Yun King Pan and Lien Kouan Teng; husband, Thu Luong; son, Phong (Kathy) Luong. Survived by her daughter, Dee (Ben) Truong of Wichita, and their children, Anthony (Donelle), Anita, Alan (Ly), and Alex, and their grandchild, Eleanor; son, Kai (Kathy) Leung, and their children, Stephanie, Tom, Louise; son, Kien Luong of Wichita, KS.

Mom was the greatest cook ever. She was a loving mother and always put her children and grandchildren fitst. Her contagious smile would great you before you even set foot into the house. Her smile was the first thing people compliment when they saw her. Mom, you will be missed but you will always have a special place in my heart. Your loving son, Kien.
I called her Ah-Poh. She taught me many things: discipline, right from wrong, bird’s nest soup is made from bird saliva, don’t use two tissues when one is enough, and most of all, to put family first. I’ll never learn her full life story, but I know that she worked hard every day of her life for her family, never asking for anything in return. I can only hope to live up to her expectations. Ah-Poh, rest easy and don’t worry. We will miss you.
