Skinner, Jr., Robert Elvin, 74, peacefully passed away Sunday, March 1, 2009 at his home surrounded by his family. Visitation with the family will be 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, March 4th and funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Thursday, March 5, 2009, both at Downing Lahey East Mortuary. Robert was born May 1, 1934 in Des Moines, IA, the son of Robert Elvin and Mae Ruth (Young) Skinner, Sr. He was a music teacher and school administrator. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Joy (Gustaveson) Skinner; children Brenda Lyttle (John) of Cheyenne, WY, Susan Skinner of Los Angeles, CA, Dr. Steven Skinner (Mary Frances) of Wichita, Gwynne Skinner (Dr. Beth Skrypzak) of Portland, OR, and Jill Skinner of Seattle, WA; grandchildren Jennifer, Rebecca, Thomas, Daniel, Christa, Anna, Joseph, Lucy, and Ella; brother David Skinner (Sharon) of Lake Villa, IL, and sister Charlotte Stevens (David) of Mesa, AZ. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Wendel Skinner. Memorial established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S.
