Weigand, Rosemary J., 84, homemaker, died Thursday, September 18, 2008. Rosary service 5:00 P.M. Sunday September 21, 2008 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East and funeral mass 2:00 P.M. Monday, September 22, 2008 at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church. Rosemary was preceded in death by her husband, Jean Paul Weigand, Sr., and a son, Peter. Survivors include sons, Jean Paul (Brenda) Weigand, Jr. and Joseph F. (Deb-e) Weigand, both of Wichita; daughters, Karen L. Weigand, of Wichita, Nan Geary (Tom Osypowski), of Grass Valley, CA, Mary Weigand, of Alexandria, VA; grandchildren, Katie (Jeremy) Mitchell-Koch, Emily Lucille Weigand, Jeffrey Paul Weigand, Alex Robert Weigand; great-grandchild, Molly Rachel Mitchell-Koch. In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, Kansas, 67203.

Karen, I regret I only had the chance to know Rosie-the kindest and sweetest lady–for such a short time. I will miss sitting with her as we watched the cars go by at The Chaumont and seeing her happy face when she saw Roxie. I think they made the day happier for each other. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Willa
