Please accept our deepest condolences for your family’s loss.
I am writing in honour of, and to say good bye to my dear friend Sarah. She will leave a huge hole in the efforts of rescuing and protecting the Affenpinscher breed that she loved so very much. It is because of Sarah that we are able to share our lives with our Affen Ziggy and we will be forever grateful to her for this and for the incredible love and devotion she has given to all Affen\’s and any dog in need. I am grateful that I had her friendship and that she shared with me many, many entertaining stories of her life, adventures and experiences! I will miss her greatly as I am sure will the many who knew and loved her whether they be two or four footed friends. Good bye dear Sarah and I take peace in knowing that you are with your beloved Toto again and we can find you one day over the rainbow. Respect and love.
Sarah is well known for being a Champion for Affens, but she also helped Brussels Griffon Rescue and mixed breeds too.She was a mentor, educator and a great story teller. I credit(or blame) her for getting me started in fostering. We had some most excellent road trips.I will miss her, but I feel blessed having known her. Peace be with her family.
Bill – Tim & I first met your family when we moved in next door (Turquoise Lane – \’75); your Dad & Mom came hobbling to our house (since they each had a foot injury) to welcome us to the neighborhood. Things happened, time passed and I only occasionally ran into your Mom to catch up with things going on in both our lives. Even after all these years, I still remember your Moms indelible spirit and kind soul from when I first met her and that stayed with her throughout her time here on earth. Our thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.
Sarah was a blessing to all who knew her, human and canine. I feel so grateful that she was in my life, and continues to be through Stella Luney, whom Sarah rescued from a puppy mill.
Yesterday I received an email from a lady in North Carolina who adopted a little 8 lb. Affen in 2008 who survived 8 torturous years in a Missouri puppy mill. Through Sarah’s dedication to Affen rescue, this little guy was given a 2nd chance and is now living the good life. His happy ending story is one of hundreds which stand as a perpetual tribute to Sarah’s dedication and the love and happiness she continues to spread in the lives of countless rescued Affens and their adoptive forever families! Rest in peace Sarah! Job well done!
Sarah was one of my best friends and was a mentor to me with Affenpinscher Rescue. She not only poured her heart and soul into helping this precious Affenpinscher angels, she brought so many people together whose paths may have not crossed without her. I will miss her with all my heart, but I know we will all meet again at The Rainbow Bridge. I extend my deepest sympathy to Bill and his family. Sarah made this world such a better place with her spirit and her love. I will never forget her and she will always be our son’s Kanas Grandma. I love you Sarah and will carry out rescue in your name.
Dear Sarah: Rest peacefully, surrounded by all of your little monkey-faced pups. Thank you for your help & encouragement when adopting Persnickety. You would be so proud of her! Your loving kindness and gentle nature will be carried on by the legion of little Affens running around.Thank you. Sincere condolences, Bill. Your mom was a very special lady.
Sarah dedicated her life to rescuing her beloved Affenpinscher breed. For that, she will be blessed. We will miss you, Sarah…
Sarah, you were a great mentor and wonderful friend. Thank you for all you did for the Affen Rescue. You will be sorely missed.
We cannot know for sure where Sarah is now, as that is a mystery of faith to all who are still here, but we can know for sure the place she is now will be all the better for her presence there as our world was with her here. Bill my deepest sympathies on the loss of your mother. Sarah was a great friend, a kind and generous woman who encouraged others to be as good and kind as she was. She will be greatly missed by all whose lives she touched.
A most wonderful person with a loving heart. She devoted herself to the rescue and placement of the Affenpinscher dog breed and helped us in adopting several of them. You don’t meet enough truly kind people in your life. Sarah was one of the kindest people I have ever known. She was a great friend, fiercely loyal and had an awesome sense of humor. She will be dearly missed by her human and canine friends. My deepest sympathies to her family. Rest in peace Sarah!
It is with great remorse, that I discover that you left us, via those modern internet search.. you have been my ‘foster mum’ for a year, in 1998-1999. With your patience and humour you made me feel at home. Your soul remains precious in my souvenirs. Will always remember you. Franois
