Sarita Coleman, 78, of Wichita Kansas, passed away June 1, 2016. Sarita was born in Marlow, Oklahoma, to Gordon Spivey and Betty Kent (Cleere). Much of Saritas youth was spent in Marlow and San Angelo, TX where she lived with her mother and stepfather, John W. Cleere. Sarita graduated from high school in San Angelo and attended Wichita State University. She married the love of her life, Ronald D. Coleman, on March 31, 1956. Sarita had a successful career as a realtor in Maize and Wichita for over 30 years. Being an avid reader herself, after her retirement she volunteered and worked for Literacy Resources, raising funds and teaching adults to read. Sarita enjoyed traveling with her husband and family often to car shows and car races and was a member of Kansas Antique Racers. She was also a member of the Welcome Wagon, an active member of the YMCA, a prolific quilter and participated in several bridge groups. Sarita liked to go to jazz concerts, play board games and do puzzles with her grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents; brother, Kent, and an infant son, Kelly. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Ron; two sons, Kris (Carmen) and Kent (Rachel); a sister, Evalou (Mike) Eeds; 7 grandchildren, Jo (Kyle) Findlan, Justin (Suzanne) Bull, Corey (Starr) Coleman, Whitney (Cole) Pipkin, Michael (Alyson) Bull, Allison (Garrett) Casey, and Kayla (Joseph) Keurzoneff; 8 great-grandchildren, Conor Discoll, Collin Discoll, Cayden Coleman, Camryn Coleman, Ehren Findlan, Cora Pipkin, Elliott Findlan and Channing Coleman. A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, June 11 at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West.
