Patsy – Sorry to hear the news about Stan. Love and blessings from those that still walk the halls of Via Christi that I work with..Janell Moerer, Kim Olds, Jim Barber, Jim McFadden, Sr. Sherrie Marie and Helene.. AND….we are ‘visited’ by Bob Heath who is working at St. Rose in California but pops in our offices when ‘commuting’ to Wichita.
I met Stan 5 years ago when I worked at the SC TelCom Building. We ate lunch at the same restaraunt every day, and one day I invited him to share a table with me. He readily agreed and that was the beginning of our daily lunches together that lasted over 2 years. We had wonderful conversations and I learned all about his beloved family, his years in the legal field, and how much he loved his annual trout fishing trips. He was genuinely interested in my activities and always had an encouraging word when I had an especially rough day on the job. He was such a gentleman and always looked very distinguished in his coat, tie and a favorite hat. I would look forward to his smiling face each day and considered it an honor to be his friend, even if we were just \’lunch buddies.\’ They broke the mold when they made Stan and I am grateful to have spent so many wonderful hours with him. He will be greatly missed.
