Susan Marie Goico

Susan Marie Goico,  68, retired Special Education Teacher, passed away November 26, 2016, after a long and courageous battle against cancer. Susan can now rest in the arms of the Lord. Rosary is 7:00 pm, Wednesday, November 30 at Downing and Lahey West Mortuary and Funeral Mass is 10:00 am, Thursday, December 1 at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Pete and Betty Zakutansky. Survived by her husband, Honorable Mario Goico; sons, Richard G. (Denise) Garner-Goico, Peter M. Goico, Dr. Brian D. (Allison) Goico; grandson, Derrik Garner; granddaughters, Macy Garner, Asela Goico, Eloise Goico. Memorials have been established with The St. Vincent de Paul Society, c/o St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora St., Wichita, KS 67212; American Cancer Society, 330 S. Main St. S-100, Wichita, KS 67202 and Goico Family Foundation, 1254 N. Pine Grove Ct., Wichita, KS 67212. Family wants to thank all the people that have given support through this long struggle with their prayers, and friends that have reached out with messages of love at her eternal passing. She had a passion for helping people “in need” through the church. Please remember the love that she shared through her devout actions.
