Swaroopa M. Baktha, 80, died Wednesday, September 13, 2023. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Sunday, September 17, 2023, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary. Preceded in death by her husband, T. N. Baktha; parents, Ethirajulu and Vatchala Naidu. Survived by her daughter, Amara Baktha of Verona, WI; son, Barath Baktha of Wichita; son-in-law, Srini Ramachandra of Verona, WI; grandchildren, Divya and Surya Ramachandra. Swaroopa aunty was the epitome of community member; all inclusive, generous and happy to celebrate every occasion. I fondly remember all the Rama Navami celebrations at her home, decked with elaborate decorations and vada mala to Lord Rama.
Thanks to her perseverance, each and every dosa stall in community events helped procure a golden crown for Durga matha.
May aunty be remembered forever for her beautiful smile, humility, Hema Malini looks and service to the community. May her soul rest in peace.
