Thanh Tan Doan, 55, passed away on March 13, 2022. He was born in Saigon, Vietnam on December 22, 1966. He was the elder of two sons of Nga Thi Doan. Thanh met his wife Kimberly Oanh (Tong) Doan in Emporia, KS in 1990. They later married in Wichita, KS on September 19, 1992, where they continued to reside and raise their two children. Thanh loved nothing more than spending quality time with his loved ones. Anyone that knew him knew he had a stern voice but the softest heart. He enjoyed karaoke, home improvement projects and cooking for his family and friends. He would take every opportunity to go home to Vietnam to care take of his mother and family. Thanh is preceded in death by his father-in-law, Duong Tong and mother-in-law, Xuan Trinh.He will be lovingly remembered by his mother, Nga Doan; his wife of 29 years, Kimberly Doan; his son, Kenny Dinh Bao (Alisha) Doan; his daughter, Jessica Hai Vi Doan; and his brother, Nhon Thanh Doan.If you would like to express your condolences, visitation will be Saturday, March 19, from 1:00 pm - 8:00 pm, and Sunday, March 20 from 10:00 am - 8:00 pm at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary, 6555 E. Central Ave. Wichita, KS 67206. Rosaries will take place both days at 3:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be Monday, March 21 at 10:30 am at All Saints Catholic Church, 3205 E. Grand St. Wichita, KS 67218.May his soul rest in peace in God’s endless glory.
