Wesley Everett Valliere, 92 of Kansas City, formerly of Wichita, KS passed away Nov. 29, 2014 at the Veterans Hospital in Kansas City. Wesley was born Nov. 29, 1922 to William B.F. and Vida Lee (Brewer) Valliere in Ico, AR. He was proud to be a Quapaw Indian and attended school at Seneca Indian School and graduated from Baxter Springs High School. Wesley was a WWII veteran. He entered the Navy in 1943, serving in Alaska and made thirteen invasions in the South Pacific as a Gunners Mate 2nd Class, serving on small boats. He was discharged in 1945. Wesley attendee Pittsburg State, earning a Bachelors, Masters and a Specialist Degree in Education. He taught school for 34 years in Kansas and Oklahoma. He enjoyed golf, photography, billards, piano, guitar, western movies, and inventing, as he is attributed to co-inventing one of the first electric pianos. He was united in marriage to Luella Freeman and to this union, three children were born: Connie, Cathy and Cindy. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Martha Colleen Jackson, Coy Lee (Jack) Valliere, Jo Ann DuPre, and his grandson, Todd Allan Rollow. He is survived by his wife, Luella of the home; daughters, Connie Moore, Cathy Jo (Ronald) Knoblauch, Cindy Janae (Kevin) Snead; grandchildren, Shannon Collier, Brian (Trisha) Knoblauch, Craig (Millie) Knoblauch, Brent (Lisa) Knoblauch, Cad Knoblauch, Jeni (Steve) Clark and Kaleb Snead. great-grandchildren, Breanna Collier, Macy Knoblauch, Austin Knoblauch, Sammy Knoblauch, Hadley Knoblauch, Cooper Knoblauch, Jessica Knoblauch, Steven Knoblauch, Michael Knoblauch, Brickell Knoblauch, Tristen Clark and David Clark. Rosary will be held at 10:30 A.M. with Funeral Mass at 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 20, both at Holy Savior Catholic Church, 1425 N. Chautauqua Ave, Wichita, KS 67214. Inurnment at Resurrection Cemetery immediately following.
