Christy (Gill) Millie Jean
Christy, Millie Jean (Gill), 82, homemaker, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2010. Visitation with the family will be 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 22 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 23, at St. Stephens Episcopal Church. Millie was employed by Gill Mortuary, (which was owned by her family). She loved to play bridge and water ski. She was preceded in death by her parents, Hugh W. and Millie Elizabeth (Small) Gill, brother, Hugh Gill, Jr and sisters, Betty Janet Gottschalk and Barbara Sullivan. She is survived by her husband, Peter M. Christy; sons, Kent Christy of Wichita and Kevin Christy of Marshall, TX; grandchildren, Erica Pivinski and Brent Christy; great-granddaughter, Addison Pivinski; several nieces and nephews. A memorial has been established with the Midian Plane of Mercy Fund, c/o Midian Shrine Temple, 130 N. Topeka, Wichita, KS, 67202.
Visitation with the family will be 6:00 ~ 8:00 p.m., Monday, November 22 at Downing Lahey Mortuary East.

I am so sorry for your loss, I just lost my dad (Harold Clarke) and I have known Millie & Pete almost my entire life, they are the friendliest/sweetiest people I have ever met….I feel the pain for your family and most of all Pete, I can’t imagine what you are going through, she was the most beautiful woman, her red hair and the red cadillac are the most beautiful memories of her I will never forget.
