Max V. Miller

Max V. Miller, 74, loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, joined his loving Savior on Friday, August 15, 2014. Max was a retired U.S. Postal carrier and retired farmer. He loved being outdoors taking care of his flowers and yard and spending time with his beloved cat, Snoopy. Max was a devout Christian who loved his church. Survived by wife, Phyllis McColpin-Miller; two beloved children, son, Mike Miller (Mary) of Wichita and daughter, Kelly Shipps (Bob) of Monett, MO; sister, Charlene Bunton (Larry) of Wichita; 3 grandchildren, Bradley and Courtney Miller of Wichita, Kymberly Stanford (Stephen) of Granberry, TX; 3 great-grandchildren, Malachi, Isaiah and Judah Stanford; stepdaughters and their families, Cindy Edwards (Jack), Becky Clark (Steve) and Donna Stegman (Steve) all of Wichita. Preceded in death by his wife of 49 years, Sheila A. Miller, and his parents, Vern and Lola Miller formerly of Caldwell. Viewing will be 12 p.m. - 9 p.m., Tuesday, August 19, Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Funeral service, 11 a.m., Wednesday, August 20, Central Community Church.
