Bernice Leona Klenda

Bernice Leona (Kerschen) Klenda, 90, passed away on Saturday, December 9, 2017. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dr. Harry Klenda; her parents, Bernard and Mary Kerschen; her step-sons, Harry L. Klenda, Larry Klenda; siblings, Walter Kerschen, Wilferd Kerschen, Angela Timmons, Stella Wilson. She is survived by her step-daughters, Joan Navrat, Shirley (Eugene) Heisler, Kathleen (James) Kaiser; step-daughter-in-law, Mary K. Klenda. Bernice was born in St. Leo, KS on February 16, 1927. After spending her early years near St. Leo, Bernice became a dental assistant. She moved to Wichita, where she made her home for the remainder of her life. Over the years, Bernice was active in the American Dental Association Spouses Auxiliary, and the Wichita Dental Hygienists Association. Bernice enjoyed traveling and made several trips to Europe and Asia. A rosary will be recited at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 124 N. Roosevelt, Wichita, at 10:00 A.M., Saturday, December 16, 2017; Funeral Mass will be offered at 10:30 A.M.
