Gaylord V. Snyder, 92, retired United States Post Office mail carrier and WWII veteran. Gaylord was born on March 28, 1924 and passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016. Visitation will be from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm, Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Downing & Lahey Mortuary West. Graveside Service will be at 10:30 am, Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at Wichita Park Mausoleum. Preceded in death by his parents Joe and Mabel Snyder; son-in-law, Lee Landwehr. Survived by his wife of 68 years, Norma; sons, Brent (Teri) Snyder, Brien (Marla) Snyder; daughter, Gayla Landwehr; 9 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren. Memorials have been established with Office of Development, Shriners Hospitals for Children, 2900 Rocky Point Dr., Tampa, FL 33607 and Kansas Humane Society 3313 N. Hillside, Wichita, KS, 67219.
