Betty Haney

Betty Haney, 89, died Friday, February 2, 2018. Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am, Saturday, February 10, 2018, at Kechi United Methodist Church. Preceded in death by her husband, Fred Haney; parents, Paul and Veda Riggs; son, David Haney. Survived by her son, Brian (Glenna) Haney of Wichita; grandchildren, Ashley (Jason) Scheufler, Kyle (Melissa) Haney, Shawn Haney, Lene Haney; 6 great-grandchildren. Betty attended York College in Nebraska where she earned her teaching degree and met her husband Fred of 64 years. She retired after 30 years of teaching in the public school system. In her free time, she enjoyed being with her family, cross stitch, music and trips to the beauty shop. Her Christian faith remained the center of her life. Even when aspects of her personality began to fade, she still possessed a lively spirit that will be forever cherished.
