Bechard, Jon Eldon, 49, Gates-McVey Construction superintendent, died Saturday, February 25, 2006. Visitation with family, 6:00-8:00 P.M., Friday; service, 11:00 A.M., Saturday, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Survivors: children, Jessica Bechard of Derby, Brian Bechard, Jenna Bechard, both of Ste. Genevieve, MO; fianc, Jann Cook, of Cape Coral, FL; sisters, Connie Reese, Jolene (Frank) Lopez, both of Wichita; grandchildren, Tatiana and Sydnee Clark; lifelong friend, Brian Foster, of Wichita. In loving memory of Jons mother, Mildred, a memorial has been established with American Cancer Society, 435 S. Broadway, S-100, Wichita, KS 67202.

Please accept our family’s deepest sympathies in the loss of a wonderful man. We regret we are unable to travel to Kansas for the services to celebrate Jon’s life. Please know that you, Jon’s family & friends, are in our hearts and in our prayers at this most difficult time.
Jon always treated us like family. There were many many pranks he used to pull on our father (Bill) as well as the rest of us. He was alot of fun to work with and to do business with (First Settlement and Ste. Gen. Ford). Jon will be missed. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers.
Jon has been a good friend to me through some rough times. I’m glad that I had the opportunity to get to know him. I am very sorry for your loss.
