Robert Bob Hogle

Hogle, Robert Lee, 90, affectionately known as “Uncle Bob,” passed away Tuesday, June 16, 2015. He served in the U.S. Army (127th AAA Gun Battalion) in the European theater during World War II. Following his service, he returned to Wichita and worked in the wholesale warehouse industry, including some years as warehouse manager at Superior Supply. In his free time, Uncle Bob enjoyed golfing and collecting Harry S. Truman memorabilia. Uncle Bob is survived by his niece Gail (Ben) Franklin, great-nieces Emily Franklin and Julia (David) Creal, cousin Kay (Wayne) Brougher, cousin John (Joyce) Bradbury, sister-in-law Mary Ann Lickteig, caregiver Della Lickteig, and many step-nephews and nieces. Preceding him in death were mother Flossie Bliss Singleton Hogle, father George E. Hogle, and brother Edwin B. Hogle. Visitation is from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 24 at Downing Lahey East. Graveside services with military honors will be at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, June 25 at Greenwood County Cemetery, Eureka, KS. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions to the American Diabetes Association (608 West Douglas, Wichita, KS 67203), the National Multiple Sclerosis Society (110 E Waterman, Suite 150, Wichita, KS 67202), or the Truman Library Institute (500 West U.S. Highway 24, Independence, MO 64050).
