Billie J. Davis

Billie J. Davis passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at 91 years of age. Billie was born April 30, 1929 in McAlester, OK to Lottie and Otto Copeland. She attended school in McAlester and graduated in 1947. She married Easmon Napier in 1948 and their life together produced three children, Connie (Rich), Carol (Scott), and Andrew (Rhonda). Easmon was a professional pianist and this took them to Dallas, Baton Rouge, and finally Wichita. Billie later married Richard Davis, who preceded her in death. Billie is also preceded in death by her daughter, Carol, and grandson, James McDowell. In addition to her children, Connie and Andrew, Billie is survived by her grandchildren, Adam (Heather) McDowell, Clayton (Kimberly) McDowell, Matt (Raegan) Brane, Stephanie (Brian) O'Mara, Austin (Jennie) Brane, Todd Speer, Amanda Speer, and Megan Reed; and 16 great-grandchildren. Many will miss her great sense of humor and happy demeanor. Billie was quick with a response and drew many smiles and laughs out loud. She was a great sports fan and duplicate bridge player. Mostly she will be remembered for her kindness and the simple joy of just being in her presence. Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm, Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Downing & Lahey East Mortuary.
