Betty Trujillo, 92, died Thursday, October 19, 2023. Visitation will be 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm, with a Rosary starting at 7:00 pm, Sunday, October 29, 2023, both at Downing & Lahey West Mortuary. Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 am, Monday, October 30, 2023, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church. Preceded in death by her parents, Miguel and Refugio Avila; husband, Carlos E. Trujillo, Sr.; 8 siblings. Survived by her children, Carlos E. Trujillo, Jr., Kathy Schaefer, Gregory Trujillo; 10 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters. In lieu of flowers, memorials established with, St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church, 861 N. Socora, Wichita, KS 67212 and Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, 8101 West Central, Wichita, KS 67212.

With much regret I was not able to attend her funeral but I would like the family to know she’s thought of with love. My father, Maggie Aguirre loved Betty very much. They were cousins. Now I see all the cousins together again, enjoying their new lives w/God.
