Virginia Lee "Ginny" Reece

Virginia Lee "Ginny" Reece, 89, of Andover, died Tuesday, October 24, 2023.Ginny was born June 6, 1934 in Kansas City, KS. She was the daughter of Harry and Edna Ristow and sister of Richard Ristow.She attended Phillips University in Enid, Oklahoma where she met Bill Reece who would become her husband for 73 years. Together they had 4 children: Rebecca Sue Parsons (deceased), Cynthia Jean Snyder, Jonathan Thomas Reece, James Scott Reece and a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren.Even before becoming the wife of a minister, her vocational goal was to be a church secretary. Along the way she earned her bachelor’s degree, and was secretary to company presidents and university deans. She also worked as a church secretary. Ginny was highly involved in the Christian Church, the lives of her family and in making the world a better place.Memorial Service will be at 1:00 pm, Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Pine Valley Christian Church.Services in care of Downing & Lahey Mortuary - East Chapel.
