A.J. Selenke, 45, died September 21, 2026.

Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, September 27, 2026, Funeral Mass will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, September 28, 2026, both at St. Mark Catholic Church, with burial to follow at Resthaven Cemetery, Wichita.

A.J. is preceded in death by his grandparents, Pius Selenke, Elaine Selenke, Marge Burchfiel and Paul Huelskamp. He is survived by his son, Austin Selenke; parents, Jim and Renee Selenke; sister, Ashley (J.D.) Johnson; nieces, Addy and Kinsley Johnson; grandfather, Bob Burchfiel; numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Memorials have been established with: Bishop Carroll Catholic High School, 8101 W. Central Avenue, Wichita, Kansas 67212, St. Rose Catholic Church, P. O. Box 528, Cheney, Kansas 67025, St. Mark Catholic Church, 19230 West 29th Street North, Colwich, Kansas 67030.

  2. AJ will be deeply remembered in our lives. He was always a kind hearted and respectful person. He touched our lives during our kids young baseball careers. He will be deeply missed. The family has all our prayers going through this difficult time.

  3. AJ was like a big brother to me. We laughed together (and at each other), we cried, we argued, played pranks, and took care of each other during some of the hardest times. Anytime I called him, he was always there.

  5. AJ was a one-of-a-kind friend and partner in coaching. Some of my best memories coaching baseball involved him. He was so funny and just a good guy to be around. I am stunned by this news and send his family all my prayers.

  9. We knew AJ thru racing and he was our sales rep thru Parker oil. We always enjoyed when he came to our shop, he was always upbeat and so nice to talk to. I remember when his son Austin was born, he was so excited and always spoke about what Austin was doing. He was a proud father who loved his son so very much. I don’t know what happened , but our thoughts and prayers are with his entire family. He was one of the good ones, and he will be missed by many.
