Horning, A. Francis, “Fritz”, 71, returned home to our Lord on April 28, 2005. A rosary service for Francis will be held 6:30 P.M., Sunday; funeral Mass will be Monday, May 2 at 3:00 P.M., both at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 N. 119th St. West, Wichita. The Reverend James J. Billinger will officiate. Francis is survived by his beloved wife, Shirley Anne; five children, Jenny, Albert, Chris, Stephanie and Regina; seven brothers and sisters; twelve grandchildren; one great-grandchild. Memorials established with St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church, 645 N. 119th St. W., Wichita, KS 67235 and Lords Diner, 520 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67214.

Mrs. Horning, I don’t know if you remember me or not, but my name is Karen Nightingale. I was his secretary when I started working at Halstead Hospital back in 1966. In fact he was the one that hired me. I just wanted to express my sincerest sympathy to you and your family upon the death of a wonderful man. It was a joy working for Francis when he was at Halstead.
Dear Shirley, Jenny, Albert, Chris, Stephanie, and Regina: We are so sad to hear about the loss of your husband and father, having just lost our dad, we know what you are going through. I will always have fond memories of our weekends in Winfield and the fishing trips to Winfield Lake. It was a privelige to know Francis and be the recipient of of his care and love.
