Barrier Jr. John R.

Barrier, John R. Jr., 65, retired Boeing business manager, died Sunday, June 3, 2007. Memorial service will be held at 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, June 6, at East Heights United Methodist Church. John was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas. John was a graduate of East High School and Wichita State University where he was a member of Phi Delta Theta Fraternity. In 1967 he married Joan Babich. Mr. Barrier retired from the Boeing Company in 1999 after 27 years of service. Preceded in death by father, John R. Barrier, Sr. He is survived by his wife, Joan; children, John R. Barrier, III (Traci) and Gigi Haselhorst (Clayton) all of Wichita and Kathleen Rocha (Richard) of Kansas City, MO; six grandchildren; mother, Mary Ellen Barrier of Wichita; brothers, Stewart and Jay Barrier of Wichita and C. David Barrier of Fairway, KS; sister, Jane Sudermann of Wichita. Memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice, 313 S. Market, Wichita, KS, 67202 and United Methodist Open Door, P. O. Box 2756, Wichita, KS 67201- 2756 A Memorial Service will be held 3:00 PM Wednesday at East Heights United Methodist Curch.
