Angulo, Betty A., 89, passed away Monday, March 06, 2006. A memorial service will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, March 10 at First Presbyterian Church. Betty was born in Wichita on March 17, 1916 to James H. and Bess B. (Beardsley) Adams and graduated from East High School and then Wichita University. Both Betty and her late husband, Joseph E. Angulo, worked at Boeing during the war. Joe taught Spanish at Wichita University for many years and Betty was secretary at the university to both Grace Wilkie and Al House. Betty and Joe took students to a school in Mexico for many summers, and also enjoyed traveling on their own. When Joe started Angulo Printing, Betty worked as Treasurer for the business. Very active in the community, Betty was involved with the WSUWA (formerly WSU Dames), the American Association of University Women, WSU Alumni Association, Delta Gamma Sorority, Beta Sigma Phi sorority, and two book clubs. An avid reader, Betty had served as chairman of the Library Committee at First Presbyterian Church. Memorials have been established with First Presbyterian Church Library, 525 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS, 67214 and WSU Endowment Fund, 1845 Fairmount, Wichita, KS, 67260. Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Private family interment.
