Thompson, Sr., Billy Gene, 75, retired self-employed paint contractor, passed away, Wednesday, November 29, 2006. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend. A private family memorial service will be held. Preceded in death by daughter, Patty Ricketts, parents, John C. and Bessie R. Thompson, brothers, Roy Lee Thompson and Gilbert and Joe Thompson and sister, Lois Williams. Survivors: wife, Nancy F. (Coppick) Thompson of Pratt; son, Billy Thompson, Jr. of Pratt; daughters, Reba Bradley (Jay) of Pueblo West, CO, Sharon Smith (Ken) of Taylor, TX and Shaila McDuff (Jaime) of Newton, KS; sister, Betty Fielder of OKC, OK; 6 grandchildren; 6 step-grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. A memorial has been established with the Childrens Miracle Network, 2622 W. Central, Wichita, KS, 67203. Downing Lahey Mortuary East. A private family memorial service will be held.
