Arbuckle, Boyd O., 78, born August 2, 1926 in rural Elk County, Kansas, went to be with his Lord, January 22, 2005 in Wichita. Service, 10:00 A.M., Saturday, First United Methodist Church. Graveside service, 3:00 P.M., Saturday, Hillcrest Cemetery, Mullinville. Boyd worked 35 years for Vulcan Chemical Company in cell maintenance as lead man. May 29, 1955, he married LaDee Brooks. Boyd accepted the Lord as his personal Savior and was baptized in a river at the age of 10. During his life, he had a love for God and a willingness to serve Him in any way he could. His friends and co-workers knew he was a Christian. He exhibited sacrificial love to his family. Boyd was a loving and caring husband, father, and grandfather who is survived by his wife, LaDee; daughters, Elizabeth Griffin and Bruce of Larned, Kathryn Arbuckle-Higdon and Richard of Overland Park, and grandsons, William Griffin, Nathaniel Higdon, and Kaleb Higdon. He enjoyed a lifetime of friendship with his brothers and sisters and their families. Boyd was a member of First United Methodist Church and memorials may be sent to the First United Methodist Church Television Ministry, 330 N. Broadway, Wichita, KS 67202. Downing Lahey Mortuary West.

Boyd was a good friend and a good neighbor. He was interested in the world around him and cared about his neighbors. He was always there with an encouraging, friendly word. I think he would agree that he had a good, full life and was loved and respected by those who knew him. I wish him well on his journey. I will miss him.
