Carolyn Ruth Wyss

Wyss, Carolyn Ruth, 79, retired teacher, died Monday, September 29, 2014. Funeral Service will be at 1:00 P.M., Friday, October 3, 2014, at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Born July 8, 1935 in Towanda, Kansas, Carolyn was an active member at First United Methodist Church. She was a teacher of Art Education and Special Education in the Wichita area over the course of her career. She taught at Coleman J.H.S., Brooks J.H.S., Blessed Sacrament, Kapaun H.S., Newton H.S., an South H.S. where she retired. Preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Hazel Raymond; daughter, Lucia Wyss; husband, Charles Wyss. Survived by her daughter, Joanna (Kevin) Wiebe; sons, Vincent (Karen) Wyss, Drew (Koni) Wyss; grandchildren, Hannah Wiebe, Rachel Wiebe, Nick Wyss, Caitlin Wyss, Sarah Wyss, Keith Wyss, Jill Wyss; 2 great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; brother, Don (June) Raymond of Kaneohe, HI.
