Catherine Price

Catherine “Cathy” Price, 72, passed away peacefully on August 23, 2026, surrounded by her four daughters.

Cathy is preceded in death by her father, Gerald Howell, and brother, Tim Howell.

She is survived by her four daughters, who were the light of her life — Amanda (Carlos) De Los Santos, Rachel (Grant) Sproul, Hannah (Keaton) Hale, and Kelsey (Jon Richilano) Swafford; grandchildren, Charlee De Los Santos, Ryder and Cooper Sproul; mother, Gerry (Nat) Barton; siblings, Karen Hrdlicka, Mike (Linda) Howell, Danny (Angela) Howell, Julie Ocker, Laurie (Lindon) Bontz, Steve Howell; and stepmother, Joan Howell.

Cathy was a remarkable woman — brilliant, driven, witty, and always up for a challenge. She earned three degrees throughout her life and built successful careers as a dental hygienist, accountant, and physician assistant. Her intelligence, determination, and dedication were an inspiration to those who knew her.

She had a gift for making life beautiful and memorable. Cathy was an amazing baker and cook, best known for her beloved Christmas goody trays, which brought so much joy to her family and friends year after year. She loved to dance, had a quick wit that could make anyone laugh, and was known for her ornery spirit and playful personality. She had a way of lighting up every room she walked into.

Of all her accomplishments, Cathy’s favorite was being a mother and grandmother. Her daughters and grandchildren were her greatest joy and the center of her world. She treasured every moment spent with her family and took great pride in the people they had become. Her greatest legacy will not be found in her degrees or professional accomplishments, but in the love she gave so freely to her family and the memories she created with them.

Cathy will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Her laughter, wit, warmth, and unwavering love will live on in the hearts of her family forever.

A Rosary will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, August 27, 2026, Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 28, 2026, both at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church.
