Clarence E. Mac McGinty

McGinty, Clarence E. “Mac”, 91, died Friday, April 21, 2006. Private services. Clarence was quite an entrepreneur and an inventor. He began with a filling station in Wichita. He later started, built up, and sold several machine shops including McGinty Machine, Mid-Central Manufacturing, and United Machine. He learned the machinist trade in California. Clarence then started with a single machine in his garage while he worked for Beech Aircraft. His businesses grew from there. He had many interests and led an active and busy life. The past few years Clarence has lived at Grassland Estates where he had many friends. Preceded in death by long-time companion, Marcie McKinney; grandson, Brian Bachelder, five sisters and two brothers. Survivors: daughter, Judy Bachelder of Dallas, TX; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Claudine McGinty of West Hills, CA; brothers, Jim McGinty of Seneca, Leonard McGinty of Wichita; grandchildren, Vinny McGinty of West Hills, CA, Dana Sharp and her husband, Steve, of Dallas, TX; great-grandson, Dylan Sharp of Dallas,TX; numerous nieces, nephews, great and great-great-nieces and nephews. To Michael McGinty: I am so sorry for the lose of your father. He had a great business reputation in Wichita. My daughter-in-laws grandfather lived at Grassland Estates, that how I knew that your father was there,too. I know this is a different way of contacting you, after all these years. I just happen to pass by McGinty Machine Co. on my way to work. I think of you and your family every once and awhile and wondered how your life has been. You and your family our in my prayers.
