ANDOVER, KS - Walp, Donald S., 84, retired Beech Aircraft crew chief, died Friday, September 3, 2010. Viewing will be Tuesday and Wednesday 10:00 A.M. to 9:00 P.M. at Downing Lahey Mortuary East. Funeral service 2:00 P.M. Thursday, September 9, 2010 at Peace Lutheran Church, Andover. Donald served in the US Navy during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Rosemary. He is survived by his son, Jon (Jacqueline), of Augusta; daughter, Melissa, of Skiatook, OK; brother, Carl, of Bradenton, FL; sister, Marjorie McCarthy, of Shavertown, PA; grandchildren, Samantha, Kevin, and Stefan Walp. A memorial has been established with Faith Home Health Hospice, 7804 East Funston, S-203, Wichita, Kansas, 67207.
