Service, 1:00 P.M., Wednesday, January 17, both at Downing Lahey Mortuary West. Preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law, James and Ruth Davis; sister, Mary Simmons. Survivors: husband, John O. Hummer; sons, Jacques (Doreen) Lopez of Oaklawn, IL, Tony Lopez, Jaime (Roxie) Lopez, all of Wichita; daughters, Donna (Mark) Magelli, Lori (Richard) Dunn, all of Wichita; grandchildren, Michael and Lynn Magelli, Hayley Dunn, Justin, Joshua, and Jessica Rose Lopez, Colin and Chelsea Coffman; brothers, Don (Shirley) Davis, Jon Owen (Ann) Davis; sisters, Marjorie Schmidt, Nadene (Pete) Nicholson, Ruby Wylie; in-laws, Virginia (Woody) Sandifer, Marlene (Bud) Shields, Eunice (Dick) Tucker, Leon Simmons; many nieces, nephews, and friends.   1. I had the privilege of getting to know Doris the last two years as I drove her to Via Christi Hope. She talked to me a lot about her family which meant so much to her. She was a wonderful lady and will be missed. I loved all of her hats no one could wear a hat like Doris she was first class. John and family you are in my thoughts and prayers.   3. I am sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. I loved going over to her house when she lived in Caldwell. She was always cheerful. Every time I ran into her she always knew my name. She was a wonderful lady!

  4. Doris was a wonderful, loving , thoughtful person. Uncle Johnny could not have picked a more perfect wife . She fit into our family so well and was loved by all.We will miss her deeply. Prayers go out to family and friends. God Bless
